Step一. Warming up

1. Greeting : ---Nice to meet you .

--- Nice to meet you , too .

2. Sing an English song : IF YOU ARE HAPPY .

Step二：Presentation

1. T : Everybody I came to your school for the first time . So I’m lost. Who can help me ?

S:

T: Thank you . You are very kind . I want to go to the library . Where’ the library ?

Teacher show a picture and learn :Go straight , street , turn left

(1) Teacher lead-in twice.

(2) Read it together.

(3) Teacher says and students do some actions.

(4) Ask and answer :

--- Where’ s the library?

--- Go straight and turn left.

2. Teacher show a picture and teach:turn right

Ask and answer :

T: Excuse me , where’ s the playground?

S: Go straight and turn right.

(1) Practice in pairs .

(2) Boys ask and girls answer.

(3) Ask some students and show .

3. Learn a new chant .

(1) The first time : listen to the tape carefully .

(2) The second time : read the words to the chant slowly and explain the meaning of each sentence.

(3) The third time :everyone reads the chant aloud. Then, play the chant and listen quietly .

(4) The last time : do some actions and sing the chant.

Step三. Practice

1. Looking for a student to say , other students do the actions.(go straight , turn right , turn left )

2. Play a game : high and low voice.

3. Look at the part 2 and make a dialogue with your partner.

A: Excuse me , where’s thezoo?

B: Go straight and turn right.There’s thezoo.

A: Thanks !

B: You’re welcome !
